Lucretia is an oil on canvas painting by the Italian Rococo artist Andrea Casali, completed around 1750. The painting depicts the legendary Roman heroine Lucretia, who, according to Roman history, was a virtuous noblewoman who committed suicide to preserve her honor after being raped by the king's son. Her act of suicide became a symbol of moral integrity and led to the fall of the Roman monarchy and the rise of the Roman Republic.
